Well I didn’t forget to write up a blog post and share a free crochet pattern. lol Today I want to share with you my version of the Pet Scarf Crochet Pattern. I tried surfing Pinterest to find a crochet pattern for a pet scarf and I didn’t find what I was looking for, so I decided to design my own for a Craft Show that was coming up. As you can see, by the picture below, I used a version of the Granny Square and I just tweaked by looking at the patterns I did find on Pinterest.

Below you will find 3 different size crochet patterns. This Pet Scarf is so adaptable, all you do is keep adding Rows until you get the desired length you are looking for. The 3 different sizes are designed for cats and dogs. If you have other pets you want to dress up, all you do is crochet more or less rows, depending on your pet’s neck. Below you will see my cat, Maze and how good the Scarf fit her.

This pet scarf crochet pattern is a good way to use up you scrap yarn you have laying around, like me. lol The pet scarf crochet pattern is also good for us Scoliosis Survivors and chronic pain sufferers to do. The pattern works up so quickly and will give you a great sense of accomplishment! It will also help with people who deal with anxiety, stress, or depression. When your finished you not only have a cool pet scarf but your spirit will be lifted. Crochet for me is my life line, it helps me by taking my mind off of my pain, anxiety, and depression. GO TO COLLAR
Collar
The Collar is worked across the longest side. You will be adding stitches on both ends for the Collar this will make the Scarf longer at the neck. You will also be placing a dc in each st and 2 dc in the side posts of the top of the Collar. You will sew the button onto an end of the Collar.
Step 1
Chain 9 (12, 15) dc in the 4 ch from hook, dc in the next 6 (9, 13) st.
Step 2
*Dc in st, 2 dc in the post* Repeat * to * across the longest part of the Scarf.
Step 3
Ch 9 (12, 15), turn and dc in the 4th ch from hook, dc in the next 6 (9, 13) st. ss in st to join.
