Tuxie Keyhole Scarf Crochet Pattern

Tuxie Keyhole Scarf Crochet Pattern

The Tuxie Keyhole Scarf Crochet Pattern came to be because I was watching a friend’s dog, Tuxie,  for a few days.  He’s a small dog and he was always shivering.

So, I decided to make him something to keep him warm and make him more adorable too.  You can crochet the Keyhole Scarf to accessorize your woof-ing dog and make a purr-fect accessory for your cat.

Tuxie

I love celebrating our pets and showing them as much love and appreciation for them.  The Tuxie Keyhole Scarf Crochet Pattern is another new release of mine that will be featured in my 2024 Pet Appreciation Blog Hop on May 21, 2024.

Me and 15 other fabulous crochet designers are sharing FREE crochet patterns daily they designed just for Pets at my 2024 Pet Appreciation Blog Hop.

Scissors

Abbreviations/Stitches Used:
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
ch = chain

there are 3 sizes to choose from:  Small, Medium, and Large
the scarf can be customized to fit your pet perfectly

Gauge:
US H Hook or 5mm Crochet Hook
12 st x 12 rows = 4”
due to different thickness of yarn, you may need to go up or down a hook size to meet gauge)

Gauge Swatch:
R1: ch 13, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next st, *sc in next st, hdc in next st.  rep from * across.  ch 1, turn (12 st)

R2-R12:  *sc, hdc in next st. rep from * across.  turn (12 st)

Special Notes:

  • Because there are so many different sizes of cats and dogs, the pattern is easily customized.
  • To easily customize the fit to your pet, measuring their neck size would be a great help for you to figure out the perfect fit to it.
  • Because this is a scarf, if you are customizing it, I suggest measuring between their ears to the bottom of their chest and doubling the measurement.
  • A helpful tip is to remember the even st is the hdc and the odd st is a sc
  • Below are 3 suggested sizes.
