There is a story behind the creation of the BlueBerry Waffle Beanie.  I designed a hat 2 years ago for Lion Brand Yarn and their #HatNotHate hat drive called the Blue Seuss Slouchy Hat.  To show my support again this year, I designed the 2 versions of the BlueBerry Waffle Beanie.  Here is what Lion Brand has to say about #HatNotHate:

“With #HatNotHate Lion Brand Yarn hopes to increase awareness on the impact of bullying has on children, teens and adults by rallying together and crafting blue hats to proudly wear throughout the month of October, National Bullying Prevention Month.  With your help we hope to create a new “craftivist” movement to send the message that bullying in unacceptable.”

My daughter experienced Bullying and seen some of the harsh side effects Bullying can cause.  This is why I feel SO strongly and have been designing Blue Hats to show my support against this cruel behavior.  Because my daughter loves Waffles I decided to design this waffle stitch beanie to show my support.  You will find 2 versions of the BlueBerry Waffle Beanie in this post.

Send your hats to:

With any season in mind the Triple Vee Scarf Crochet Pattern is the perfect accessory to any weather’s wardrobe.  It has a nice airy stitch.  It uses Fingering Weight Yarn and a nice big Double Treble Crochet or the Triple Stitch as I like to call it.

Even though this pattern doesn’t use basic stitches, any beginner can do it.  I have Video Tutorials to help anyone along the way if they are not familiar with the Foundation Double Crochet, Alternate Chain 2 or 3, and the Double Treble Crochet.
