Gram-Mae’s Purse Crochet Pattern
My Gram loved crocheting flowers. In the Gram-Mae’s Purse crochet pattern I will be using one of the flowers my Gram designed and I created a crochet pattern for, the Mae’s Flower.
Making the Gram-Mae’s Purse is a fun little project you can crochet any time of year. You can make it in one color or as many colors as you like. There are so many uses for a purse like this; carrying your WIPs, making for the little ones, carrying your essentials, and SO much more!

History behind the Design
The design came about because I have had an Afghan my Gram started over 25 years ago using a flower she designed. In 2022 I finally decided to take one of her flowers apart from her Afghan. I wanted to see how she made it so I could finish her Afghan.
Because I loved her flower design so much that I decided to create the Maes Flower crochet pattern. I was able to finish my Gram’s Afghan. Also, my Gram’s Afghan was so easy to put together, that I decided to create another crochet, which I then turned into the Mae’s Flower Garden Afghan crochet pattern in honor of my Gram.
You can find the Mae’s Flower Crochet Pattern that I designed using these flowers free HERE on my website.

Mae’s Flowers Blog Hop
My Mae’s Flowers Blog Hop is being hosted from May 1-18, 2023. I have gathered 15 other fab-u-lous crochet designers who are bringing you their favorite flower related crochet patterns.
Because Spring is here and there are SO many beautiful flowers sprouting, I thought hosting my own blog hop would be the perfect time for you to bring some beautiful flowers inside your home. There is also a theme behind the blog hop.
My Gram’s name is Mae. My Gram’s birthday is in the month of May. I designed the Mae’s Flowers in honor of my Gram. So can you see the reason behind the name of the event and why it is taking place this month?? lol
Another reason I am hosting this blog hop, I have brought 2 new crochet patterns designs to the hop. I shared the Granny Viola Scarf crochet pattern, which uses another flower my Gram designed. The second new crochet pattern design is the Gram-Mae’s Purse.
My Gram-Mae’s Purse crochet pattern will be FREE on May 18, 2023, the last day of the Mae’s Flowers Blog Hop. What a way to end the event, right?! lol
