Nellie Summer Tee Free Crochet Pattern

Today I would LOVE to share with you another free crochet pattern by Jo’s Crafty Hook Designs!  The Nellie Summer Tee Free Crochet Pattern started with a new stitch, the N-Stitch.   I learned the N-Stitch during the Spring while testing for another great crochet designer group, Sunflower Cottage Crochet.

This page contains affiliate links.  You can make a purchase using these links that I provide where I may receive compensation (at no added cost to you.)  Purchases you make will help keep my website, Etsy Shop, and my Ravelry Store going and provide quality designs just for you!

If you have never crocheted the N-Stitch, there are Video Tutorials listed in the information about the pattern.  The Left Handed Video Tutorial is done by me and the Right Handed Video Tutorial is done by Sunflower Cottage Crochet.

My crochet pattern testers fell in LOVE with the N-Stitch just like I did!  I would LOVE to give them a BIG shout out because they worked really hard on this design.  There were many hiccups because of the trying times we are in right now.  There were yarn delivery delays, finding time to finish the test, and just trying to function during these troubled times.  I appreciate EVERY single one of them!  They are Jolanta Urb, Anita Reinisch, L. Holly George, and Laina Mann Malcolm.  Below are their versions of the Nellie Summer Tee.

If you would like to receive news when I release another free crochet pattern, or take part in another giveaway, or when I am having a sale please use the form below to sign up for my Newsletter.

Leave a long tail for sewing shoulders closed.

Sides:

  • Lay Right Sides of the panels facing each other.
  • Use the Table at the top of the pattern for the size of your Armholes.  I measured from the top of the panels and placed Stitch Markers where you will stop when sewing sides closed.
  • Start at the bottom of the panels and sew the sides together using the Whip Stitch, or Mattress Stitch until you get to the Armholes.
  • If you would like more room at the hips, leave a 2”-4” slit at the  bottom on each size of the Panels.  I made a 2” slits.

Shoulders:

  • Using the Table at the top of the pattern, find the size of the neck hole opening.
  • Place your Stitch Marker where you want to stop the opening on both sides of the top.
  • Sew the panels together using the Whip Stitch or whichever method you prefer to sew the shoulders closed.

Wrapped in Love Headband Crochet Pattern

Although I designed the Wrapped in Love Headband Crochet Pattern in mind, it would make a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day or Sweetheart’s Day.  You can crochet this for the ones you love, whether it is a person or an animal, as you can see by the picture below.  lol

You can find the free crochet pattern for the Child Size version of the Wrapped in Love Headband below.  I don’t want to take away from the importance of Cancer Awareness.

October is Cancer Awareness Month and the Wrapped in Love Headband Crochet Pattern was designed specifically for Cancer Awareness Month.  There are a number of crochet patterns in the Wrapped In Love Line (see below) that are dedicated to the women in my family who have faced one type of cancer or another and SURVIVED!  I am SO thankful to God for delivering them from this horrible disease!

As a Scoliosis Survivor, I know some of the struggles cancer patients go through.  I deal with chronic pain, anxiety, depression and more.  Cancer patients may go through these things as well.  Surviving Scoliosis is an ongoing battle, that is why I am so thankful the women in my family battled cancer and survived!

The Wrapped in Love Headband uses the same technique found in the Wrapped in Love Hat and Cowl set crochet patterns that can be found on my website here.  There are a number of Video Tutorials from my YouTube Channel here that do Row by Row with you.  If you would like to receive the FREE PDF version of this pattern you can find it at any of my stores listed below.

You can also find the Summer of Love Tank Top crochet pattern here on my website as well.  The Summer of Love Tank Top uses the same Video Tutorials as the hat, cowl, and headband.  You can find the Video Tutorials at my YouTube channel here as well.

The Wrapped In Love Headband and Summer of Love Tank Top are just some of the crochet patterns you can find in the Wrapped In Love Line.  The Wrapped In Love Headband crochet pattern is another quick  one that those with Scoliosis or chronic pain sufferers or anyone can do because it is a ‘short and sweet’ pattern.  lol  So scroll down and let’s get started!

3 Crochet Hat Patterns Designs by me, Jo

In today’s post I’d like to share some of my Handmade Crocheted Creations and 3 Crochet Hat Pattern Designs by me, Jo.  I have been testing patterns for other Crocheters these last couple of weeks. I wanted to see how other Crochet designers created their patterns. I learned a lot crocheting for them and really enjoyed my time creating their Crocheted Creations.

I have 3 Crocheted Hat Patterns in my Etsy Shop and here on my website. The first one is called Mint Julep Hat Pattern. In this hat pattern I used the crochet technique of going behind the chain stitch or bump as you Single or Double Crochet. In this technique you get a unique raised stitch that really stands out. You can view this stitch across the rim and the crown of the Mint Julep Messy Bun Hat below.

I also added the technique of going behind the bump in the stitch across the crown and rim of my Purple Waves Hat Pattern. I really like this technique because of the texture it adds to the hat. You can really see the ‘waves’ across the whole hat and especially the rim. I also went in the back loops of the stitches made, adding more texture to the ‘waves.’ Check it out below.

The last pattern, is called the Spiral Messy Bun Hat Pattern here. The Spiral Stitch I used is where you keep crocheting around, not worrying about slip stitching in the first stitch of the round. You can see this technique in the pictures below.
