August 3rd – Raleigh Dog Blanket from MadameStitch
This blanket is named after one of my son’s rescue dogs. Raleigh was the perfect companion and such a special part of his family. She recently passed away and I’ve dedicated this beautiful blanket to her memory.
Along with outgrowing his pug puppy sweater, he has also outgrown the cardboard box he claimed as his bed the day we brought him home. I got a bigger cardboard box and some fleece I had in my fabric bin and made him a new bed. Now he never wants to leave it!

Today I am delighted to present the Puppy Placemat pattern. You probably know that I am a long-time small doggy Momma. I had a pack of 3 Shih Tzus for many years. Biscuit was my first puppy; he lived from 2006-2022 and was bossy and hilarious. Bonzai lived from 2007-2021 and was derpy and very loving. Lucy was our “baby dog” and lived from 2011-2023. She was our most well-behaved and kept us laughing every day.
For crafters, the lion is a common theme and so much fun to make. I recently made a Lion Toy for my pug Bruno. He loves to play tug of war, so I added a handle to the bottom of a lion to make his favorite game easier on me.
Does your cat/pet like to swat or throw things around the house? Do they like to curl up on your laptop while you are writing a blog post? lol Do they like curl up on your clothes, your current WIPs, clothes or anything else of yours they can find? Then this is purr-fect for any pet to play with or even cuddle up with.
I designed the Lumina Bandana, this crochet dog bandana pattern, for my rescue pup and it comes in 6 sizes so you can make one for yours or make a bunch to donate to dog shelters, too!
This sweet little amigurumi dog pattern was inspired by my parents’ Cocker Spaniel and just like him, Dusty is a very playful and loving companion who is always there for you.
Meet “Nellie” … the newest addition to our family. We rescued her from a shelter about a month ago and she’s already stolen our hearts!
Nellie’s wearing the “Imagination Pet Bandana” that I designed the day I found out we were accepted to become her new family!
My son loves anything to do with Norse History, this is why he named his dog Freyja. Ever since she was a puppy I loved to make things for here and dress her up, my son even started asking me to make things for her. lol So I decided to design something that relates to Nordic History and Freyja’s name.
August 18th – Heart Stealer Pet Blanket from Vivacrochet

Pets can seem like part of the family. My son rescued some kittens from his job site and called me upset, asking if I wanted a kitten. I was hesitant, but as soon as he took her out of his jacket, softy that I am, it was all over for me. lol
Batty was my bestie’s (@cherumanalil) furry baby. He was the most patient pup (though his mumma said otherwise sometimes), amazing with my bratty human kids.

Last year the Getty Museum challenged people to recreate famous works of art. The results were sometimes amazing, sometimes hysterical. I decided to try my own recreation using crochet. Turns out, one of the biggest challenges was finding a famous painting that looked easy enough to duplicate in yarn but still appealed to me visually. I wanted something colorful to cheer me up on these dreary days. Settling on one of Van Gogh’s sunflower paintings, I rummaged through my yarn stash to find the appropriate colors.
